Almost started the way most meaningful things do — by accident. Michigan natives, Noah (vocals/guitar) and Jason (drums) were just two best friends messing around with instruments, trying to make each other laugh, and figuring out life one song at a time. Somewhere between the inside jokes and conversations about their daily life, the music turned into something more — a place to find purpose, to learn from each other, and to leave some kind of mark. Based in Michigan, Almost pulls from the heart of the Midwest DIY scene — not just in sound, but in spirit. Their songs mix raw energy with real emotion: bumping drums, weirdness guitar, and vocals that wear their heart on their sleeve. There’s no image to maintain, no polish to chase — just two people making honest music in the way that feels most like them. The band’s now-iconic (and very poorly drawn) star shows up wherever they go — a reminder that it doesn’t have to be perfect to mean something. That’s kind of the whole point.
